The Halifax Helpers

The Halifax Helpers is the Nova Scotian Chapter of YouthInspirED. THH was founded in 2020, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, to provide Nova Scotian youth with at-home learning support. Now, THH offers 5 services for K-12 students and their parents including EAL tutoring, academic tutoring, a laptop lending program, an EAL conversation group and a parent math tutoring program. These programs specifically work to target rural, low income and newcomer communities.

The success of THH is what sparked the idea for YouthInspirED. If young people in Nova Scotia could create a program that provided successful educational support to those around them, why couldn't other Canadian youth do the same?

THH is always open to collaborating with community organizations in order to develop programs that best serve youth throughout Nova Scotia. Please use the Contact Form below to get in touch.
